KaunFig

A community product for Config India 2026, co-created with another designer. Designers sign up and get grouped by city, arrival date and vibe, so they reach BIEC already knowing a few people. Travel is the vehicle, bond is the point.

People go to conferences to network and meet more people. We wanted that to start before anyone reaches the venue. Every group gets a WhatsApp chat to plan arrivals and timings, so the first conversation happens on the way there.

We didn't have it all figured out upfront. We shipped early, watched how people responded, and changed it live while signups were coming in. Designers have joined from Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Jamshedpur and Panvel. The grouping rules kept changing as people joined, so we ran it by hand in Supabase before automating anything.
